Learning About the Term Term Flashing Android Ecosystem
This
time I'm not discussing the tutorials and tips n tricks about android,
it will explain the terms surrounding the Android firmware and its
management. Perhaps you've heard the term Custom ROM on the forum? Root? Kernel? For those who are flashing some Android androiders probably already familiar with the term. Okay, for those who are beginners and want to learn about the Android some more, I'll explain it one by one :).
Here it is:
Custom ROMActually, people often say custom rom that I think is a bit confusing. It's own ROM = read only memory. Data2 is in read only memory that is data2 operating system. So, when people mentioned the custom rom, is actually it is an modified OS for Android which in develop by the circles public freely. Why is that? yes because android is open source. so that each individual can freely modify the android operating system itself. There are many well-known Custom ROM on the Android ecosystem itself as CyanogenMod, MIUI ROM, etc.
RootWell after that we try to know the root itself. Root was a sort of highest privilege in the android system. When we first use the new-android handset bought from the store, we do not have these permissions. if on windows, we call it simply as a guest, not to be administrator. well what's the point we do root for the highest privilege? Ok so, if we have a new computer. we have installed windows. yet we only could go in and access the in as guest only. how it feels? it is just like when using Android without being root. Many important aplikasi2 like titanium backup for backing up data, shoot me & drocap to screen print the page, to set the clock setCPU cpu, etc. that can not be executed. Sure feels like we are limited right? Though we are open-source OS. so if Android ga at the root, it feels like not Android. hehe .. root is the starting gate of the next game. game here is the term when we are flashing a custom rom / OS, we overclock the cpu, instead of the default kernel, all the gates of the root. without the root, we can do hal2 the ga.
KernelFor the kernel, the kernel is the core system at the heart of the operating system. operasi2 run by the os, it is processed by the kernel. in android kernel can also be modified. and will certainly bring benefits to the operating system or custom romnya itself. usually, the person developing your custom kernel is adapted to his rom. We can not just replace our kernel with other kernels that are not recommended by the manufacturer custom rom. when we memflashing custom rom on our android handset, in the custom rom itself is already available kernel. and sometimes the kernel has been modified. However, not all handsets provide custom kernel. There are some handsets, the handset bootloadernya locked by the company. so that we can just replace the OS, without having to replace the kernel. You can check on the XDA Developer forum if your handheld is locked bootloadernya android or not.
Flash OS & KernelFlashing & OS kernel is a way to enter data or to install the operating system and the operating system kernel in our Android handset. Almost the same way as when we install the computer. we first entered recovery mode (Recovery Mode to enter the Galaxy Mini: Press Home and Power Button together). After that we remove / wipe all data of the old operating system. We delete the cache memory of the old operating system. So basically we do a full wipe. Well after that we just install a new os / custom rom. In within clockworkmod recovery, everything has been available. we just use it. OS installation is meant as flashing.jadi if denger2 flashing, the actual installation is yes, but done through recovery.
